Singkawang – With the theme of A Decade of AKP2I Synergy: Promoting Fair Tax Compliance for National Development, the Indonesian Public Tax Consultants Association (AKP2I) celebrated its 10th anniversary at Swiss-Bellinn Singkawang on Thursday (11/27).

AKP2I Chairman Suherman Saleh said that the 10th anniversary celebration was an opportunity to strengthen ties between the organization and relevant stakeholders involved in it. 

"This decade-long celebration is an important moment to strengthen ties between all elements involved in the taxation ecosystem and related professions. Through a series of activities and forums, this organization wants to emphasize its commitment to building stronger collaboration, both internally and externally," he said in an official statement.

He added that the AKP2I anniversary celebration is not only a celebration of AKP2I's long journey, but also an opportunity for joint reflection to strengthen the organization's role in enhancing professionalism and contributing to national development, particularly in terms of taxation.

"On the other hand, the 10th anniversary of AKP2I is expected to serve as a platform for tax discussions among stakeholders. From organization members, government institutions, the business community, to the public, to exchange ideas and strengthen synergy. Thus, it will lead to the creation of a sustainable tax ecosystem," he added..

Gathering

In his report, Organizing Committee Chairman Zulham Al Farizi stated that the purpose of holding this AKP2I anniversary celebration was to strengthen the bonds between all members and to reflect on the organization's development. He also reported that this event was attended by 107 AKP2I members from all over Indonesia.

"This celebration was combined with a PPL activity in the form of a taxation seminar so that all AKP2I members can maintain their professionalism in providing consulting services to taxpayers," he said.

Acting as the host, the Chairman of AKP2I PD Kalbar Arief Sapta Wendrianto also emphasized the importance of reconnecting in person. 

"In addition to strengthening ties, AKP2I reaffirms itself as a solid organization that is a trusted partner of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP)," he said.

Synergy

Meanwhile, Evan Ernanda, Expert Staff to the Mayor of Singkawang in the Field of Economy, Finance, and Regional Development, welcomed the 10th anniversary of AKP2I in the city of 1000 temples, known as the most tolerant city in Indonesia. According to him, this celebration is not merely ceremonial, but an affirmation of the commitment to maintain the integrity and professionalism of tax consultants.

“This celebration is tangible proof of the dynamic growth of an organization whose role in supporting the regional economy is highly anticipated,” he said.

Evan also said that taxes are the backbone of national development and improve people's welfare. That's why the Singkawang City Government really hopes that AKP2I West Kalimantan (Kalbar) can build synergy and be a critical partner in improving community taxation.

"This is where your role as tax consultants is really strategic and noble because you're the bridge between taxpayers and the government. We are confident that through collaboration, we can create a healthy taxation ecosystem and accelerate the pace of development in Singkawang City," he added. 

A similar sentiment was expressed by Erawati, Director of the Financial Profession Development Center (PPPK) at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu). She said that the celebration of AKP2I's decade anniversary has made it an organization that continues to grow and supports the improvement of tax consultant professionalism and the strengthening of the national taxation ecosystem.

"The 10th anniversary is not just a celebration, but a reminder of the strategic role of AKP2I as a partner of the government in strengthening tax compliance for the advancement of the nation," she explained.

Furthermore, Head of the Extension, Services, and Public Relations Division (P2Humas) of the West Kalimantan Regional Office (Kanwil) of the DGT, Bombong Widarto, said that synergistic nation building reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the role of all stakeholders in national development, particularly in the field of taxation.

"Synergy is key. The government cannot work alone. We hope that tax consultants under the AKP2I can become strategic partners of the DGT in providing education, assistance, and ensuring the smooth running of taxpayers' tax obligations," he said.

During the celebration of AKP2I's tenth anniversary, two Regional Administrators (PD) were also inaugurated, namely AKP2I PD Kalbar and AKP2I PD North Sulawesi (Sulut). Additionally, nine Branch Administrators (PC) were also inaugurated, namely AKP2I PC Pontianak, AKP2I PC Singkawang, AKP2I PC Ketapang, AKP2I PC Kubu Raya, AKP2I PC Pangkal Pinang, AKP2I PC Sintang, AKP2I PC Bitung, AKP2I PC Kotamobagu, and AKP2I PC Manado.
